About Me

As a mother of two gorgeous girls myself, I understand firsthand how exhausting it can be when your little one just won’t settle. My first born; Lilly, was exclusively breastfed, and she developed a strong sleep association that, at the time, felt impossible to break. She would wake every half an hour, needing a feed just to fall back asleep, and I was at breaking point. I barely recognised myself; I was drained, emotionally raw, and the joy I’d expected to feel in motherhood was slipping away. It was one of the hardest times of my life, I felt resentful of those around me, especially my husband, even though he tried his hardest to make it easier.

I remember thinking, ‘There has to be a better way’. However, back then, I didn’t know that sleep consultants even existed, and I struggled through the trial and error of teaching her how to self-soothe on my own. I look back and wish I had that one supportive voice coaching me, reassuring me, and helping me use methods proven to work. It would have saved so many tears — both hers and mine.
